The Saudi authorities announced the launch of warning sirens in the capital Riyadh, the provinces of Al-Kharj and Dir’iya and the eastern regions of the Kingdom on May 10 .
The Saudi Civil Defense said in a tweet on its confirmed Twitter account: “The test will be carried out on the afternoon of Thursday, 24/8/1439 AH,” corresponding to the tenth of May .
The civil defense “The experiment will be implemented in the city of Riyadh and the province of Al-Kharj and the province of Dir’iya and the eastern region in all its provinces.”
Saudi defense officials said the plan was aimed at reducing the risk to its facilities of the army and Popular committees rocket attacks and the arrival of ballistic missiles launched by the army and popular committees from Yemen to Riyadh and cities east of the kingdom .
