The World Health Organization said that the war in Yemen killed and injured about 70 thousand people, from the beginning of 2015 until the end of last October.

“The conflict continues to worsen and an estimated 70,000 men, women and children have lost their lives or been seriously injured as a result of the conflict” Amnesty said in a recent report.

The organization recorded 156 attacks on health facilities and health care workers, and put health facilities, health care workers, patients and surrounding communities at risk.

According to WHO, cholera remains a priority issue in 96% of Yemen’s governorates. It added that since the beginning of this year to 27 October last year has been reported 76 thousand and 137 suspected cases, including 991 related deaths.

In the same period, a total of 25,242 cases of dengue fever were reported, including 104 related deaths.

WHO estimated the number of non-communicable diseases to be around 35,000 cancer patients (10% of children), more than 1 million people with non-communicable diseases, and 7,000 renal failure patients in need of weekly sessions.
