The Armed Forces Spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e, revealed Monday, the statistics of the ground operations of the Armed Forces during the five years of steadfastness.
During a press briefing, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e said that over the past five years the heroes of the Army and Popular Committees have carried out 5,278 retaliatory attacks, including 1686 offensive attacks during 2019 and 227 during the first months of 2020.
He also confirmed that 5426 attacks, creeps, and infiltrating attempts by the US-Saudi aggression forces were thwarted during the 5 years of aggression, including 1,226 operations during 2019 and 48 operations during 2020.
Brigadier General Sare’e pointed that Yemeni Armed Forces succeed in carrying out wide and qualitative military operations that imposed new equations in the battle and led to killing and injuring large number of Saudi-mercenaries and destroying their equipment. He stressed that the most prominent results of those operations are the liberation of large areas on the fronts of Nihm, Al-Jawf, Marib, Al-Dhalea, and the border frontlines.
Almasirah Net, in turn, recorded the percentage of offensive and confrontational operations revealed by the spokesman for the Armed Forces:
– The percentage of offensive operations during the 5 years is 49.3%, while the percentage of thwarting the infiltrating attempts was 50.7%.
– The percentage of offensive operations during the year 2019 was 58%, while the percentage of thwarting the infiltrating attempts was 42%.
– The percentage of offensive operations during the first months of 2020 was 82.5%, while the percentage of thwarting the infiltrating attempts was 17.5%.
These percentages, extracted from the statistics of the Armed Forces spokesman, show the major shift during the beginning of this year, compared to previous years of steadfastness, in an indication of a strategic and significant shift in the performance of our Armed Forces in their ground operations.
