Member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi on Monday visited the tomb of President Saleh al-Sammad and his colleagues in al-Sabeen Square in the capital Sana’a, coinciding with the third anniversary of his martyrdom.

During the visit, Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi along with a number of assistants to the Minister of Defense, heads of bodies, directors of military departments and leaders placed a wreath of flowers on the shrine and read Al-Fatihah in honor of the spirit of the martyr and his companions.

He pointed out that the martyr Al-Sammad was a brave leader who provided the highest meanings of sacrifice and redemption for the country and the people.

Al-Houthi explained that the victories that are achieved day by day on all fronts of pride are thanks to the great sacrifices of the heroes of the army and the people’s committees.

He praised the wise approach of the martyr and his great efforts in promoting the national steadfastness and the cohesion of the internal front in the face of the Saudi-led coalition aggression, as well as his remarkable work in preserving the institutional structure of the state.

The president al-Sammad was killed along with six of his escorts on April 21 after his convoy was attacked by the coalition aircraft, while carrying out his national duty in Hodeidah province.
