Yemeni army spokesman reveals details of “Fajr Al-Intisar” operation in Marib

The spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e, has revealed  details of a military operation dubbed Fajr Al-intisar (Dawn of Victory), which was carried out by army forces and Popular Committees in Marib province.

The army and Popular Committees were able to liberate several areas, a total area estimated at 600 square kilometers during this operation, which included the liberation of the geographical space between the liberated areas previously in Al-Bass Al-Shadid operation to the outskirts of the city of Marib, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e said during a press conference on Tuesday afternoon.

The spokesman confirmed that “the armed forces are today on the outskirts of the city of Marib from several sides.”

Sare’e revealed that the number of dead among the enemy troops reached 1,300, in addition to 4,320 wounded and 30 captured, while nearly 300 armored vehicles, vehicles, personnel carriers and four weapons depots belonging to the enemy forces were destroyed.

He pointed out that the air defenses managed to shoot down 11 coalition spy planes during the military operation, while the air defenses recorded about 518 operations of confronting the coalition aircraft and forcing them to leave.

The army spokesman stated that the air force carried out about 245 operations, including 170 operations in the Saudi territories and 75 operations inside Yemen, noting that the missile force carried out 68 operations targeting the gatherings and bases of the coalition forces, including 49 operations inside and 19 others in the Saudi territories.

The Yemeni military spokesman noted that Saudi-led coalition warplanes carried out more than 3,290 airstrikes, including raids targeted citizens’ homes and public roads.

The military media of the Yemeni army documented the operation and released video footage showing the army forces storming Saudi military potions and clashing with the mercenaries.

The operation began by attacking the fortifications of the mercenaries, which led to a massive panic in their ranks. The Yemeni army looted extensive amounts of weapons, ammunition and military vehicles during the attack.
