The Office of the Presidency in Yemen condemned, in the strongest terms, the crime of burning a copy of the Holy Quran in Sweden, considering it a crime targeting Islam and Islamic sanctities.

In a statement issued by the Office of the Presidency, Monday, “We considered this act to be a crime that targets Islam and Islamic sanctities in European countries through various practices. All of these crimes were done by the Zionist lobby that has taken control of Europe and made its countries one of its tools in insulting Islam and its sanctities under the title of freedom of expression.”

The statement deplored the justification of the crime by the Swedish government and its attempt to cover it up under the pretext of freedom of expression and democracy, stressing that insulting Islamic sanctities is not a kind of freedom of expression, but rather a crime that cannot be tolerated.

The statement pointed out that this crime and other crimes targeting Islam and Islamic sanctities in European countries through various practices, is behind it the Zionist Jewish lobby that has taken control of Europe and made its countries one of its tools in insulting Islam and its sanctities under the title of freedom of expression.

The statement called on all free people and Muslims in the world to take serious stances towards these repeated abuses and to defend Islamic sanctities, foremost of which is Quran and the greatest prophet Mohammad.

The statement called on the leaders of European countries to liberate themselves from the Jewish-Zionist domination that controlled them, misled them, corrupted them, enslaved them, and spread corruption and vices among them until it brought them to rock bottom.
