President Al-Mashat declares three days of mourning and lowering of flags for the martyrdom of leader Ismail Haniyeh

President Mahdi Al-Mashat of the Supreme Political Council announced on Wednesday three days of mourning and the lowering of flags in honor of the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of Hamas.

In his condolence statement, President al-Mashat extended his deepest sympathies to the Palestinian people and Hamas, mourning the loss of Haniyeh, who was killed in a Zionist raid on his residence in Tehran.

He praised Haniyeh as a dedicated Muslim leader who devoted his life to jihad against the Occupation, stating that his death is a significant loss for both Palestine and the Islamic world.

President al-Mashat condemned the assassination by the Zionist enemy, describing it as part of Israel’s ongoing failures since October 7th.

He reaffirmed Yemen’s unwavering support for Hamas and the resistance axis, emphasizing that the Zionist and American enemies must bear responsibility for the escalating conflict and targeted assassinations of resistance leaders.
