The Public Prosecution in Dhamar Governorate released 334 prisoners, in implementation of the directives of the Leader of the Revolution and the President of the Supreme Political Council, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The head of the Appeal Prosecution of the Governorate, Judge Anan Shaye’ Al-Sultan, explained that these procedures were implemented in accordance with the instructions of the Attorney General, in releasing on bail those who can be released in non-serious cases and in incidents that do not pose a danger to society.
He pointed out that the procedures included the release of those who meet the conditions for conditional release from those sentenced to negative sentences and do not have special rights to others, and their good conduct and behavior were proven from the penal facilities.
He pointed out that the release took place during the field visit of the head of the prosecution and the deputies of the primary prosecutions, which began in mid-Sha’ban last year to the central reformatory, prosecution detentions, police stations and criminal investigations, and this also included the release of a number of prisoners during the visit of the Judicial Inspection Committee headed by Judge Ibrahim Aqabat and Advisor to the Minister of Justice Adnan Al-Salihi.
Judge Al-Sultan stressed that the Public Prosecution will continue to carry out its duties towards society in defending rights and freedoms and everything that would achieve prompt justice.
