Earthquake Recorded Between Hajjah & Sa’ada

Yemen Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring and Study Center’s stations recorded an earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale between Hajjah and Sa’dah governorates in northern Yemen at dawn on Friday.

The center’s head, Engineer Mohammed Hussein al-Houthi, explained that the earthquake occurred at 4:58 a.m., indicating that the epicenter was 36 km northeast of Hajjah governorate.

He added that the earthquake was 32 km south of the Haydan area in Sa’daa.

It is worth noting that the Shahel and Al-Mahabisha areas in Hajjah had recorded three earthquakes at the end of last March, measuring 3.1, 2.7, and 2.4 on the Richter scale.
