The Yemeni army and popular committees on Saturday repelled a large-scale attack carried out by mercenaries hired by Saudi-led aggression in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen, a military official told Saba News
According to the official, the battle, which took place in Mafalees area of Hifan district, left dozens of the mercenaries dead and wounded.
The official added that the army forces destroyed three military vehicles during the attack.
He confirmed that the attack lasted for several hours with the participation of the coalition warplanes to back its mercenaries during their foiled attack
