Over 2,500 schools destroyed in Yemen by Saudi-led aggression

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Abdulkareem Al-Jandari on Monday confirmed that the US-Saudi aggression destroyed more than 2500 educational facilities in various Yemeni governorates. He reported that at the inauguration of the new academic year 2019-2020 on Sunday in Dhamar governorate under the slogan “Education First.”

He pointed out that the starting of the new academic year is a message to the world showing that Yemen continues to steadfast in the face of the US-Saudi aggression and that the students and teachers performance, to keep the educational process going, is one of the challenges the US-Saudi aggression faces.

Al-Jandari explained that the continuation of the educational process is a national duty to thwart aggressions’ plans that aim to stop education and ignore generations.

He urged all members of the community to cooperate with school administrations in the enrollment of students and the success of the school year.
