The Minister of Fisheries Mohammed Al-Zubairi said that 78 fishermen  were released from Eritrean jails arrested by an Emirati ship.

Al-Zubairi told Al-Masirah Channel that the UAE ship is named after Abu Dhabi and is taken by Eritrean and Sudanese soldiers who are pursuing the Yemeni fishermen and taking them with their ships to Eritrea, where the UAE has the Assab military base there.

He added that Abu Dhabi is behind the piracy of a number of Yemeni fishing vessels and the disappearance of Yemeni fishermen.

He pointed out that the authorities in Eritrea violate the arbitrary arrest of Yemeni fishermen.

The Minister of Fisheries called the United Nations and world human rights organizations to pressure for the release of the Yemeni fishermen detained and to prevent maritime piracy operations against them by the UAE, the aggression coalition and the Eritrean authorities.
