The Leader of the Yemeni Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi, has confirmed that the Revolution of September 21 was a starting station through which the people set out from the dark past to build the future on the basis of the principles and values they believe in.

The move came during his speech on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the September 21 Revolution of 2014, aired on Monday through Al-Masirah TV.

The Sayyid affirmed that the greatest goals of the September 21 Revolution are freedom and independence, noting that “without freedom and independence, the people live in a state of colonialism, subservience and enslavement.”

He pointed out that the Yemeni people can never accept the confiscation of their freedom and independence.

Sayyid al-Houthi stressed that the Americans had already set their sights on Yemen long before the September 21 Revolution, with hostile, colonial and illegal motives, most notably due to the strategic location of Yemen and its natural wealth.

“The Americans deliberately increased their interference in Yemen after the events of September 11 [the attacks on New York and Washington DC of 11 September 2001], in order to push the authority [the former regime of Ali Abdullah Saleh] into a civil war by targeting the free people,” he added.

He pointed out that the American interventions were dangerous, and the US ambassador was interfering at the official level in all ministries and military, security and political institutions, and opened programs in all state institutions.

“The American ambassador went to coordinate direct relations with some sheikhs, authorities, and regions. (…) We saw clearly how the situation in Yemen deteriorated on the moral, economic, political, security, and military level, and in terms of the structure of the country, on which the American ambassador was gnawing like woodworm,” he said.

The Leader affirmed that the Americans had worked with their clients to reinforce all that paves the way for direct US control, and to remove the elements of power from the Yemeni people.

He pointed out that the American track was aimed at scattering the Yemeni people and dismantling so that there would be no longer be a link that would bring the people of the country together and protect them from division.

Sayyid al-Houthi indicated that “the US has ordered the Saudis and Emiratis to take control of Socotra and Mahrah, where there are no frontlines to justify their presence there.”

He stressed that the Americans are moving to strengthen their military bases in Hadhramaut, Sharawrah and Aden, seeking to be within the framework of the coalition so as not to bear the cost of confrontation with the Yemeni people.

Sayyid Abdul-Malik al-Houthi pointed out that traitors stigmatize themselves with shame and betrayal in front of all future generations, just like those who had done so during the period of British colonialism.

The Leader of the Revolution concluded by praising the free people who have realised what the true and real face of the Saudi-led coalition is, especially after the occupation of Socotra and Mahrah by foreign invaders.
