The security forces in the capital Sana’a carried out a raid on one of the most terrorist cell that implemented terrorist operations and assassinations of political, media and military figures, official security source said.
In a statement to the Yemen News Agency (SABA), the source explained that the security forces attacked the criminal cell on Wednesday’s evening after a series of operations of investigation, gather information and tracking.
The source pointed out that the attack led to the death of the terrorist called Yasser Mkharesh that known as “Ammar” and another element of the cell members who started shooting towards the security men and trying to blow up two explosive devices.
He added that the security services seized a cell with many weapons, phones’ cards, fake personal cards and explosive devices that were used in their crimes.
The official security source said that terrorist Mkharesh was the leader of many of assassination operations, the most prominent were the assassination of Mr. Abdul-Karim al-Khaiwani, Mohammed al-Shami, Abdul Rahman Hamid al-Din, Faisal Al-Sharif, as well as three university students and he participated in the bombing of al-Tahrir Square during the mass protest rallies. ”
