April 30th, Supporting Democratic Civic Foundation (Mada) lunched a discussion workshop about UN Security Council Resolution( 1325 )on women, peace, and security. Thirty members of specialist teams representing civil society organizations, human right activist, and peacemakers participated in the workshop from various Yemen’s provinces.
Sultana al-Jaham, executive manager, stated to al-Thawra “this discussion workshop came through schedules of discussion workshops to suggest and recommend all parties to set peace and security.”
Al-Jaham pointed out that participators called for the importance of activating the women role to achieve peace.
They also concentrated on the UN Security Council Resolution( 1325) that concerning peace and security and emphasizing the importance of activating the women equitable participating as active members that have the ability to stop war , conflict ,and organize security and peace negotiations .
“These workshops came along with the Yemen current situation. So, women should have a curial part to set peace and participate in the different operations that led to Yemen stability and security,” al-Jaham added.
