International Agreement On The Importance Of Permanent Ceasefire And Political Solution In Yemen

June 3rd, Hossein Amir-abdollahian, the deputy Iranian foreign minister for Arab and African affairs, and Chargé D’Affaires of Russian Embassy in Yemen Oleg Dremouf insisted the importance of setting  permanent ceasefire and reaching a political solution to solve current crisis in Yemen.

Ansarallah Foreign Affairs Officer, Hussain al- Izzi, met Oleg Dremouf, Chargé D’Affaires of Russian Embassy in Yemen.

During the meeting they discussed issues of the ongoing peace consultations in Kuwait, as well as the seriousness of the continuing raids and its negative repercussions on the peace efforts.

The meeting also discussed the humanitarian and security situation in south  Yemen and the areas controlled by the coalition-backed aggression.

Hussein al-Izzi praised the Russia’s role to set peace and security in Yemen and in the region in general, as well as  Russia is obviously keen to ensure the success of Kuwait consultations and support  the political solution in Yemen.

Oleg Dremouf confirmed that Russia is keen to success the peace talk in Kuwait . He also pointed out that all should respect all previous settlement such Security Council resolutions , the outcomes of the National Dialogue, and peace and partnership agreement.

Dremouf added that it is essential that all parties provide reasonable and acceptable concessions to end this crisis in Yemen; indicating that the only solution for Yemen’s current situation is the political solution.

He condemned the continuing target of civilians within the current peace talks in Kuwait, ” permanent ceasefire is important to let  truce committees do their job”.

Dremouf said that Hadi government failed to secure Aden and the other southern region ,although the difficult conditions and the challenges of continued blockade and bombing,  the areas that are under popular committees controlled have a positive great administration.

Hossein Amir-abdollahian, the deputy Iranian foreign minister for Arab and African affairs, said in a phone call with UN envoy to Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed “permanent ceasefire and peace talk are the only solution for Yemen crisis.”

Amir-abdollahian confirmed the Iranian support to UN envoy efforts to set a permanent ceasefire  and peace talk in Yemen.

He pointed out Iran, from the beginning of the aggression, announced that decisive storm is a strategic mistake that kill Yemeni people and help terrorism to spread.
