ACTED Provides Cash Assistances For Displaced People In Sa’ada Province

ACTED Organization launched the second phase of its project that improved food security and distributed unconditional cash in Sa’ada province.

Anwar Jadar, the organization coordinator in Al-Jawf and Sa’ada governorates, explained that  the project targets 2,600 displaced and most affected families, where the project was implemented in two phases.

He pointed out that the first phase distributed cash assistances for 800 families amounting to 50, 760,000 last July, where single-family share amounted to 63,450 riyals.

He added that the second phase of cash assistances targeted 1800 family of IDP and host community in Sahar, al-Safra, and Majez directorates that amounted to 76, 140,000, noting that single-family share was 42,300 riyals.

The organization’s office director in Al-Jawf and Sa’ada, Ali al-Farawi confirmed that the organization is working intensively to provide humanitarian services for the displaced and affected people in a number of provinces, including Al-Jouf and Saada in coordination with the government and the relevant authorities in the targeted areas.

He stressed the keenness of the organization in communicating with all donors to attract new humanitarian projects to meet the needs of the Yemeni society, which suffers from a difficult humanitarian situation.
