Losses In Yemen Led Emirates Purchase New Weapons With More Than $ 1.5 Billion

Emirates signed arms sales worth more than $ 1.2 billion, including mechanics amounted  about $ 660 million ammunition and naval forces by about $ 200 million .

The official spokesman for the IDEX Rashid Al Shamsi said  ” 21 deals had been signed in the first day of the exhibition worth more than four billion and 416 million dirhams” (about 1.2 billion US dollars).

Fifteen deals were signed with local companies and six international companies according to the spokesman who confirmed in a press conference .

Emirates buys weapons to compensate for the losses of the weapons that were destroyed during the clashes of its soldiers or mercenaries with the Yemeni army and popular Committees.

UAE which is involved in the aggression against Yemen spent more than $ 12 billion on arm deals during the past two years.
