April 5th, Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf Abdullah welcomed the statement of the EU on Yemen.
“The Yemen government renewed its commitments to do all efforts to achieve a comprehensive political settlement on Yemen, calling on the EU to take serious steps to end the military operations carried out by Saudi-led coalition aggression and its mercenaries against Yemeni people, as well as stopping the military escalation along the western coastline, and ending the political and media campaign that talk about targeting Hodeida port”, FM said .
“Hodeida port is the only lifeline through which more than %80 of the country’s food imports and humanitarian aid entered, and targeting the port considered as genocide against Yemeni people”, Hisham Sharaf added.
The minster called for a comprehensive and independent international investigation on the crimes committed by Saudi-led coalition aggression on Yemen, stressing on the necessity to stop the military operations carried out by the Saudi-American aggression on Yemen.
