The UNICEF Representative in Yemen Merixtell Relaño said to the United Nations Radio that the suffering of millions of children across Yemen has become “invisible to the rest of the world”
The impact of the fighting between coalition-backed government forces on children and families, has been “catastrophic”, Merixtell Relaño added.
The conflict has fueled what UN agencies are calling the largest humanitarian crisis in the world, with 6.8 million on the brink of famine.
Ms Relaño spoke ahead of a High-Level pledging conference next Tuesday, which it’s hoped will provide lifesaving emergency relief.
