May 13th, the Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf Abdullah met the Resident Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights al-Obeid Ahmed al -Obeid today in Sana’a.
During the meeting, they reviewed the acts of the KSA-UAE aggression states against Yemen of a complete blockade creating the world’s largest humanitarian catastrophe which is a man-made famine.
At the meeting, the Minister referred to the excesses committed by the aggression in the treatment of prisoners, bringing some detainees to other states to investigate on unfounded charges.
He emphasized on the important role of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in contributing to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
Hisham Sharaf Abdullah renewed his invitation to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Bin Ra’ad bin al-Hussein, to visit the Republic of Yemen and to see closely and learn more about the reality of the humanitarian situation in Yemen.
