Amid reports talked about the involvement of the Saudi and UAE regimes under the direct supervision of US-Israeli to conduct experiments using bacterial spores in their barbaric aggression against Yemen, led by cholera spores that spread in the capital and the provinces at unprecedented rates threaten the lives of millions of Yemenis, the Ministry of Public Health yesterday declared a health emergency because of the spread of cholera.
The Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Mohammed Salem bin Hafiz said that the cholera epidemic that is spreading in the capital and the Yemeni governorates exceed the capabilities of any country’s system how about a country faces war for two years like Yemen?
The minster added that the ministry called the international organizations to provide support and assistance for urgent face of cholera, stressing his demand to the United Nations to put pressure on the Saudi regime to reopen Sana’a International Airport and allow the entry of medicines and travel patients who need treatment abroad.
The Ministry of Public Health requested during the past period $ 22 million but the international community has not responded to this appeal.
According to data released by the Ministry of Health, the number of cholera suspected cases recorded in the hospitals of Sana’a and some provinces are about 8595 cases, while confirmed cases are 213 and 115 death cases in Sana’a and a number of provinces.
Mahweet governorate recorded about 200 cases, 548 cholera suspected cases and 13 deaths, while Abyan governorate recorded about 500 cases amid difficulties in hospitals in providing health care services to patients.
