The army and popular forces killed a number of Saudi-paid Sudanese soldiers and mercenaries in Midi desert in Hajja province, a military official told Saba on Wednesday.
The soldiers were killed when they tried to move toward the desert in spite of the Saudi warplanes waged series of strikes to support their mercenaries on the ground, the official added.
