Millions of people took to the streets across Yemen on Friday Jun 23, 2017 on the occasion of International Quds Day, which falls on the last Friday of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan,to support Palestinians against Israel.
In Yemen, people from men, women,and children are gathering to 60 street western Sana`a for the annual event which usually marks chanting slogans against Israel.
In Thursday, Leader of Ansarullah, Seyyed Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi, has called in in a live televised speech in Al Masirah Channel all Yemenis to take streets on the occasion of International Quds Day Friday.
Hamas asked, in a press statement, Arabs and Muslims to support Occupied Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque as well as the Palestinian besieged people on International Quds Day which coincides on last Friday of holy month of Ramadan.
The International Quds Day is an annual event opposing Israel’s occupation of Beitul-Muqaddas, and anti-Zionist rallies and demonstrations have been held on the last Friday of Ramadan in Arab countries, special in Yemen as well as well as a large number of Muslim and non-Muslim states.
The International Quds Day was started by the late Founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, in 1979 as a way of expressing solidarity with the Palestinians and underscoring importance of the holy Quds to Muslims.
