The head of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi stressed on the right of Yemenis to perform Hajj rituals, calling on Saudi Arabia to sign a true truce in order to respect the pilgrimage and to allow the Yemeni pilgrims to perform this ritual, which is an essential pillar of Islam .
“I call upon the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to sign an actual truce in the Sacred House. All parties in all fighting and military confrontations are committed not to fight, to lift the blockade and to allow Yemeni pilgrims to perform Hajj until the end of these months,” The head of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee said on his Facebook page
“During the past two years, the Saudi-led coalition aggression is the main reason behind preventing Yemenis to perform this basic religious right,” Mohammed Ali al-Houthi said
“Every year, we do realize that we are not the ones who imposed the war, however the Saudi-led coalition aggression imposed it and refused to stop it or to commit to it, whether humanitarian or otherwise, on the pretexts that everyone knows its lack of objectivity,” he added
The Saudi’s regime has prevented Yemeni pilgrims in the last two years since the beginning of its aggression against Yemen to perform Hajj duty, working to politicize the duty as it does today after the outbreak of the political crisis with Qatar, al-Houthi said
He confirmed that the aggression’s states have to hold the full the responsibility for the aggression, blockade, and the consequences of famine, epidemics and others, Stressing that pilgrims should not be prevented
