The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Fa’aqa Al-Saeed, met the Resident representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Yemen, Angali Sen.
During the meeting, the Minister of Social Affairs indicated to her looking forward to more cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) on the Social Affairs and childhood sides.
Al-Saeed stressed the ministry’s readiness to provide all facilities to the Fund so that it can provide its services to citizens in these difficult circumstances due to the continued aggression and blockade on Yemen.
The aggression on Yemen left disastrous results and increased the spread of poverty, pointing out that many of the disastrous consequences will appear after the cessation of aggression, which underline the need for an effective partnership between the Ministry and the Fund to implement protection programs, Fa’aqa al-Saeed said
Minister of Social Affairs and Labor expressed her hope that the Fund would cooperate with the other international organizations to stop the aggression and overcome the difficulties faced Yemenis.
She also stressed that the Government of National Salvation is doing great efforts to alleviate the suffering of citizens in different provinces, including the provinces under occupation.
In her part, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) expressed her aspiration to work with diligently and vigorously to overcome the difficulties in addressing the problems left by the war on the sectors of women and children and reducing violence.
