The Supreme Economic Council held its meeting today in Sana’a, headed by the Prime Minister Dr. Abdelaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, discussing the economic conditions, its developments and the efforts made by the National Salvation Government to limit the current challenges.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of measures and procedures taken by the government over the past period to limit the economic and monetary challenges, especially the liquidity crisis, pointing out to the importance of collective thinking in innovative and pragmatic solutions, taking into account the national dimensions and at the same time help to develop and mobilize revenues from all available sources which play an important role in facing the current situation and its challenges due to the continued aggression and blockade.
In this regard, he also emphasized on the need to mobilize all government efforts in favor of collecting and developing all available revenues and supplying them in cash to the Central Bank of Yemen.

The Council called on the international community, the United Nations and the international financial institutions to carry out their moral and humanitarian duties to put more pressures on the Saudi-led coalition aggression and the fugitive Hadi’s government to fulfill their obligations towards the administrative staff of the state in all provinces.
