Minister of Foreign Affairs Hisham Sharaf met with head of the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Yemen, Alexandre Faite.
During the meeting, they discussed the issues related to the activities of the Red Cross.
The Foreign Minister appreciated the important role of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), particularly in the exceptional circumstances in Yemen, and the provision of urgent humanitarian assistance, particularly in the health and food sectors.
In his part, Alexandre stressed on the importance of his organization’s role and efforts to continue providing the necessary assistance to the Yemeni people.
The head (ICRC) indicated that “ICRC” will continue its efforts regarding prisoners and detainees and making significant progress on that aspect.
