At least 206 prisoners who had been involved in December sedition were released on Sunday from Sana’a central prison following an amnesty decree issued by President Saleh al-Sammad, an interior ministry official told Saba.
During the release, Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Abdulhakeem Al-Maori confirmed that the release of the civilian prisoners had been completed for 206 person.
“We will release the prisoners from the military in coordination with their military units, and there are guarantees through what we have seen from the detainees to stay away from whenever it harms the homeland and any plot aimed at its security and stability,” Al-Maori said.
