The police in Sana’a province on Monday released 30 military detainees involved in December sedition, who participated in the riots that aimed to topple local authorities.
Governor Haneen Mohammed Qutaina confirmed the move came in a response to a general amnesty issue by President of the Supreme Political Council Saleh al-Sammad.
He called on those released to carry out their duty towards the homeland and stand by the army and the committees against the Saudi-led aggression.
December military coup had led by former president Ali Abdullah Saleh, who was killed in clashes with security forces on December 4, 2017.
