President of the Supreme Political Council, Saleh al-Samad met with the Minister of Communications and Information technology, Eng. Musfer al-Numeir.
During the meeting, they discussed the progress of work in the ministry and its institutions in addition to the taken measures to activate the ministry’s plans and programs in dealing with the changes taking place in the country and means of enhancing efforts to improve the general performance of the ministry and its institutions.
They reviewed the executive plan of the ministry during the current year in addition to the damages caused by the Saudi-led aggression on the infrastructure of the national fixed telephone network and the Internet as well as the ministry’s reform plan and its branches to improve the quality of work.
The meeting addressed the efforts of the Ministry’s leadership and the employees in the ICT sector and technicians to upgrade the telecommunications and Internet services and to keep pace with developments in information and communication technology.
In the meeting, al-Samad stressed the importance of the Ministry’s role in rehabilitating cadres as a priority for the ministry’s general cabinet as well as its staff.
The president ordered the ministry to work on repairing the networks and recasting the broken cabinets.
