Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf Abdullah on Sunday met with the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to Yemen, Martin Griffith, and his delegation in Sana’a.
During the meeting, they discussed the repercussions of Saudi-led coalition aggression on Yemen that have caused the world’s largest man-made humanitarian crisis.
Foreign Minister stressed on the need for just political solution emphasizing on the importance of enhancing confidence-building measures between the parties to the conflict, as well as alleviating the suffering of Yemeni citizens.
Several issues were discussed in the meeting topped by the processing of salaries of state employees and reopening of Sanaa International Airport to commercial traffic and civil, which would show to the Yemeni street serious to move towards peace, especially with the presence of the new UN special envoy.
