UN Council Calls To Lift Blockade On All Yemeni Ports

T he United Nations Security Council renewed its demand for the US-Saudi aggression alliance to quickly lift the blockade on  all ports of the republic of Yemen, including the port of Hodeidah and Sana’a International Airport .

It called on all parties to allow unimpeded and unhindered humanitarian access to all affected provinces, and the Council noted the impact of restrictions on access to commercial and humanitarian imports on the humanitarian situation .

The Council called on all parties to abide by international humanitarian law. The Council also expressed its grave concern at the indiscriminate raids of the Aggression Alliance, targeting densely populated areas and its impact on civilians, including the large number of civilian casualties and damage to civilian objects .

The Council urged all parties to return to the negotiating sponsored by the United Nations through its Special Envoy Martin Griffith .
