Health Minister: Targeting Blood Center by Saudi-led Airstrikes Is War Crime

Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Mohammed Bin Hafeedh on Saturday said targeting of the National Center for Blood Transfusion by Saudi-led coalition airstrikes is a war crime, State agency reported.

This came during the minister’s visit to the center, which was hit by the coalition warplanes on Friday, to see the damage and material losses caused by the airstrikes.

The minister denounced such crime that harms lives of many patients and wounded benefiting from the center, which supplies hospitals and health centers in several provinces with blood.

Dr. bin Hafeedh called on international organizations working in Yemen to condemn this crime.

He also called for businessmen, philanthropists and pharmaceutical companies to quickly support the center so that it can perform its role in providing blood transfusion services to patients.
