Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation said that the port of Hodeidah and the port of Saleef have not received any container ship loaded with food and medicine since November 2017 due to the blockade imposed by Saudi-led coalition forces.
In a statement obtained by Saba News Agency , the corporation said that the closure of Ras Issa Oil port in June 2017 by Saudi-led Coalition Forces contributed to the accumulation of oil tankers in the port of Hodeidah in order to wait for their turn, not for the purpose of detention, as Saudi –led coalition media has claimed.
According to the statement, the capacity of the port is five general berths for goods, two container platforms, and an oil tanker mouth, a “dolphin” for the docking of vectors, one receiving only 5,000-ton oil carriers.
The Corporation mocked the allegations circulated by Saudi-led coalition media about the detention of 19 oil tankers in Hodeidah port, saying it is full of lies and fabrications.
