The Ministry of Foreign affairs on Saturday condemned the assassination attempt on Ethiopia’s new Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.
In a statement obtained by Saba, the ministry stressed that such terrorist acts constitute a threat to international peace and security.
Earlier the day, Ethiopia’s prime minister escaped a grenade attack at a rally in the capital that killed one person and left dozens injured, according to officials.
