Deputy Foreign Minister, Hussein al-Azzi, on Sunday met with the special envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden to Yemen, Peter Simbi.
In the meeting, the officials reviewed the tragic results caused by the coalition war and the siege on the Yemeni people, and the consequences of the escalation of aggression in the Western Coast, whether on political solution or aggravation of the humanitarian situation in Yemen.
Al-Azzi expressed his hope that the Kingdom of Sweden, during its presidency of the Security Council for July, will convey the true picture of the Saudi aggression and its humanitarian tragedies against the Yemeni people, and work to move the political process forward in order to stop the brutal aggression and achieve peace.
For his part, Simbi stressed on his country’s readiness to provide all possible support to Yemen and contribute to end the suffering of the Yemeni people.
