The head of the Yemeni national delegation Mohammed Abdel Salam has said that the new UN Security Council resolution is a positive step towards stopping the Saudi-led coalition’s war crimes and lifting the blockade on Yemen in order to achieve a negotiated political solution.
However, Abdel Salam also condemned the United States of America for its continued refusal to allow an investigation into the war crimes of the Saudi-led invaders.

“We condemn the US position that refuses to include the coalition states’ actions in investigations towards their war crimes committed against the Yemeni citizens,” Abdel Salam wrote on his Twitter account on Friday.
While a ceasefire is coming into effect in Yemen, the plight of the Yemeni people remains difficult. The war on Yemen is already named a “forgotten war” because it has often lacked international attention, despite being one of the biggest humanitarian catastrophes in modern history.
