UN Under-Secretary-General Mark Lowcock warned of the worsening humanitarian crisis in Yemen .
“”The United Nations needs $ 5 billion to provide humanitarian assistance to nearly 20 million Yemenis next year, more than 70 percent of the population of Yemen suffering from the ravages of war that is tearing the country apart,” Lowcock said in a statement on Tuesday .
