Turkey called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to hold a meeting on January 10th to discuss the Yemeni crisis.
“”We think that the meeting will be held next January in Istanbul,” Anatolia news agency quoted Turkish Foreign Minister Mouloud Zhaoshoglu .
He added” I say clearly that the wrong policies of the Gulf States and the wrong steps from the beginning, and dragged those wrong steps to different dimensions, unfortunately led to the death of a large number of children and women from hunger and disease.”
“Like what we have supported the efforts of the international community and others, we have now extended an invitation to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for the meeting of the Contact Group for Yemen,” said Oglu, adding that Turkey is making efforts to reach a political solution in Yemen.
