Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, head of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, has said that the UN envoy Martin Griffiths’s hints confirms that he is under pressure from the Saudi-led coalition.
“Saudi Arabia and UAE seek to deviate from the path of peace, legitimize their war and continue to prevent the distribution of relief aid from the Red Sea mills in Hodeidah,” Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, wrote on his Twitter account on Friday.
“The US-Saudi-Emirati aggression and its allies are also exerting pressure on the Special Envoy of Yemen to adopt claims that legitimize their continued aggression and deviation from the path of peace,” Mohammed al-Houthi added.
Al-Houthi accused the Saudi-led coalition countries and their militants of obstructing the implementation of the Sweden Agreement and of preventing humanitarian organizations from allowing access to mills to distribute relief aid.
He continued: “The US-Saudi-Emirati aggression and its allies have failed to present any peace plan or vision, but are working to impede the implementation of the Sweden agreement, as well as refraining from allowing organizations to access to mills to distribute relief aid.”
The UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, expressed dissatisfaction with the pressure exerted by the coalition countries.
“I must say to those who expect me to blame any party: know that I will stay as I am and will not blame anyone in particular. That is not my business. My business is getting this conflict resolved as soon as possible”, he told al-Arabiya channel on Friday.
