Mohamed Ali al-Houthi, head of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, has criticized the failure to respond to initiatives to stop war in Yemen.

He preceded the so-called Sharm el-Sheikh summit by representing a comprehensive peace initiative in Yemen.

“The Europeans will come to the summit to be held in Sharm el-Sheikh to take what they want, while the Arab rulers will return with nothing, as they carry their bad luck and suffering from plots that are essentially made by their creators or supporters,” Mohamed Ali al-Houthi wrote on Sunday.

In his speech about Arab rulers and coalition countries, al-Houthi said: “Nothing is gained, only the destruction of their homelands. In the face of the destruction of Yemen, we have offered initiatives to stop it, but in vain.

” Al-Houthi reintroduced an initiative to the United Nations and the UN Security Council, calling for an end of the war in Yemen.

The initiative includes: “The formation of a reconciliation commission, the holding of presidential and parliamentary elections, the establishment of international guarantees to begin reconstruction of Yemen and reparations [payments], the prevention of any attack by foreign countries on Yemen, the proclamation of a general amnesty and the release of all detainees of each party.”

Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have been leading a military alliance since March 26, 2015, with U.S. and British support along with some 17 countries who claim to defend the “legitimacy” of exiled former president Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi. Hadi was ousted in a popular revolution in September 2014
