The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Executive Director Henrietta Fore reported to the UN Security Council that at least 7,300 children confirmed dead since the start of the aggression in Yemen in 2014.
Fur warned during the session that the fighting is still raging in 30 active conflict areas in the presence of about 1.2 million children.
“Since the beginning of the aggression four years ago, 7300 children have been killed, and these are figures we have verified, and the actual figures are undoubtedly higher” she added
“she also said “Every day, eight other children are killed, injured or recruited in the fighting, and every 10 minutes, another child dies because of a preventable cause, such as lack of food.”
