The local authority in Hodeidah province said that the bombing of one of the headquarters of the United Nations Mission in the province, was caused to the UN’s tolerance of the ongoing violations and war crimes committed by the invading coalition in Yemen.
“The aggression coalition has continued its violations and breaches, up until its effects hit the United Nations,” the Al-Hodeidah provincial council said in a statement condemning the bombing of the United Nations Office building in the Al-Habat area of the al-Hawk district on Saturday.
The local authority, in its statement, denounced “the insistence of the aggression forces in targeting densely populated neighborhoods and the persistence of their violations to target international facilities, specifically the United Nations Organisation.”
“This targeting [of the UN building] would not have been possible without the United Nations’ positions on the violations of the aggressors, that have been going on for more than four years,” the statement read.
“This is a strong and clear message from the states of aggression, stating that role of the United Nations is useless,” the statement added.
The local authority of Hodeidah Province called on “the international community to denounce and condemn these crimes, which have not even spared the United Nations, [even though the UN] has long stood against the Yemeni people alongside the forces of the aggression coalition.”
