Residents of Al-Dhahir district in Hajjah province, northern Yemen, have on Friday staged a protest condemning the threats made by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to stop the distribution of relief aid in the areas of Yemen that are under jurisdiction of the National Salvation Government.

The protestors rejected the contaminated food that some organizations have given to citizens, and pointed out that field results of the inspection teams have shown that much of the WFP assistance is rotten and unfit for human use.

Participants further denounced the international organizations abuse of the suffering of citizens caused by the ongoing aggression and blockade imposed on Yemen since four years by the Saudi-led coalition.

They praised the Air Forces o the Yemeni Armed Forces and Popular Committees for conducting successful attacks against the Saudi-led aggression coalition, stressing that these attacks fall under the legitimate right of self-defence.

The demonstrators furthermore called on the United Nations to shoulder its responsibility towards Yemen and to put a stop to the Saudi-led aggression
