Yemen’s Minister of Defense, Major General Mohammed al-Atefi, has on Saturday stressed that Yemeni military industries are moving forward with developing its advanced weapons and technological achievements meeting the requirements and demands necessary for defending the sovereignty, unity and independence of the Republic of Yemen.
“We have developed and manufactured missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles and a lot of weapons, and we are now in the final stages – readiness to develop and manufacture various types of air defences,” the Defense Minister said.
“We vow that the arrogant aggressors of the Yemeni people will be faced with more surprises that they would never have expected,” he said.
During a meeting held on Saturday, the Minister of Defence indicated that the prepared draft of the military doctrine document was based on current changes and developments in their future dimensions, at various national, regional and international levels.
This great project is a national achievement and comes in accordance with the directives of the revolutionary, political and military high command, in order to rebuild the Armed Forces on a well-developed scientific basis and enable them to fulfill their duty of defending the homeland.
Minister al-Atefi furthermore explained that the military doctrine of the Republic of Yemen will ensure the development of Yemen’s military capabilities in present and future.
“The military doctrine is the most important factor in building up the armed forces, and is the main pillar of the Yemeni army,” he said.
“Despite all these achievements and qualitative successes, we assure everyone that our hands are still stretched out for peace in accordance with the Sweden agreement. We have implemented the redeployment of the first phase from Hodeidah, Salif and Ras Issa ports, despite our combat readiness being capable of defending the city Hodeidah for decades to come,” he added.
The Minister of Defense confirmed that the National Salvation Government has made concessions after concessions for the safety of citizens and in order to preserve infrastructure of the city of Hodeidah.
However, Major General al-Atefi stated, the invaders and occupiers stilm continue to violate the agreement of Sweden.
He pointed out that the countries of aggression continue to kill the Yemeni people with their missiles and weapons, as well as by its land, sea and air blockade that prevents the entry of food, medicine and basic necessities.
The Minister further assured that the Armed Forces and the People’s Committees have now taken the lead in directing painful strikes deep into Saudi-occupied territory, especially its vital facilities.
“We will liberate every inch of the homeland and defend the Republic of Yemen and its sovereignty, unity and capabilities, [we will defend] our homeland and our future generations,” Minister of Defence Major general Mohammed al-Atefi concluded.
