The head of the National Negotiation Delegation and official spokesman of Ansarullah, Mohammed Abdel Salam, has said that Saudi Arabia has failed in its three summits to “make achievement of even a formality” regarding their war against Yemen.
“Saudi Arabia brought leaders of the Islamic world together to cry to them about this dilemma in which they have fallen foolishly,” Abdul Salam said in a series of tweets on Saturday.
“The words of many leaders of the Islamic world were burdened with the problems of their countries,” said Mohammed Abdel Salam, adding that “even at the summit, the kingdom fails to make any achievement, even a formality.”
Abdul Salam described the marches of the International Quds Day in Yemen and others as a correct response to the Saudi summit, which he described as a “den of royal betrayal”.
“Mass rallies on the occasion of the International Quds Day in Yemen and other countries are an affirmation that we adhere to the constants of the nation and its sacred sanctities, no matter the temptations, deals and challenges,” Mohammed Abdel Salam declared.
“The dens of a royal betrayal have isolated themselves in bleak summits,” the Ansarullah spokesman stated, referring to the three-day summit held in Saudi Arabia on Thursday and Friday, in which the Palestinian issue wasn’t even addressed.
He further commented on the Saudi talk about “its sponsorship of peace in Yemen”, saying that Riyadh does not seek peace in Yemen as much as it seeks to assert its hegemony.
“The Kingdom of Saudi aggression has for many years been dealing with the superiority of all Yemeni factions and has not invited a day of competent peer dialogue,” he added, noting that the Saudi-led invasion was a response to Yemen’s liberation from Saudi oppression in the first place.
“After the September 21st Revolution, the Saudi authority did not realize that the Yemeni people had changed its plans in foreign relations [and had chosen] a path based on mutual respect, independence and non-aggression. However, Riyadh knows only to be followed and thus attacked, but the Yemeni people have to defend themselves,” Mohammed Abdul Salam concluded.
