Italian parliament Bans RWM weapons Sale to Saudi Arabia and U.A.E

An Italian arms manufacturer company suspended its  arms exports to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for 18 months for the usage of its weapons in the war on Yemen.

Italian media reported on  that RWM, the manufacturer of medium and large missile warheads and ammunition, had informed its partners in Italy of a decision to suspend its exports to Saudi Arabia and the UAE because of its use in the Yemen war.

“The company will respect the will of the Italian parliament and the government to suspend its exports for 18 months from the end of July.” the company said

The Italian House of Representatives on June 26 approved a bill that would stop the sale of arms to Saudi Arabia and the UAE form fear of using such weapons in “practices that violate international humanitarian law in Yemen.”
