The army and popular committees on Wednesday took control of a number of mercenaries’ positions in Jawf province, a military official told Saba News Agency.
According to the official, the army forces launched an attack against the Saudi-hired mercenaries’ positions in al-Dhahrah front in Khub Washaef district, taking control over several positions after inflicting heavy casualties on their ranks.
Earlier, the military media of the Yemeni army released video footage showing the army forces storming strategic sites for the mercenaries, during which six Saudi military vehicles were burned and damaged in the Khub Washaef district.
