Member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, stressed that the peace offer made by President Mahdi Al-Mashat provides a complete mutual cessation of attacks and does not accept fragmentation, denying the validity of any leaks from the coalition to Western media about an agreement or partial cessation, other than the initiative announced.
Al-Houthi responded to leaks published by Western media attributed to Saudi sources, in a tweet on “Twitter” on Friday evening, saying: “President Mahdi al-Mashat’s initiative provides stated a complete cessation of aggression, and there is no validity for any leaks by the enemy about a partial cessation.”

However, apart from Saudi Arabia’s first official reaction to the peace initiative, and Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir’s handling of the initiative by announcing Saturday, “Riyadh will monitor the seriousness of the Houthis in implementing the peace initiative they put forward.”
The Saudi-led coalition stepped up its airstrikes.
